Day 192 | This is it!

It took me 7 and half years to decide and be convinced to take British citizenship! From today onwards I am no longer a Indian citizen!!! With mixed feelings I am filling up my British passport application!

Day 138 | Lucky Guy

 

Hubby is addressed by different names by different people, but I call him a really lucky guy ;) LOL...

Day 136 | Mango Love

In spite if sleepless night, keeping a close eye on Lil Dumpling, I woke up quite early today. While my two boys are sleeping peacefully, I sneaked into kitchen and gobbled up 2 mangoes the Indian way with juice dripping from my mouth and arms while I noisily sucked its pith! Ah heaven! Ah simple joys of life! And now working on my next blog post to keep my mind away from wandering into negative thoughts and what better thing is to bring all those happy memories flooding back and lifting my soul than the sight of these golden beauties! :)

Day 135 | Blessed

To have them in my life! We are back at home from hospital after another episode of heartbreak and hope! Like every time (knock on wood) the end it is hope that triumphs over every thing else and I am grateful for that. But 3 ambulance rides and 4 hospital stays in this year is more than enough to put me off from hospitals. But at the same time I can't thank enough all the hospital staff for helping us in those painful episodes. 

 Today I am just thankful for every simple joys, like able to sleep in our beds instead of narrow hospital beds. Tomorrow I will be back to my usual whiny and complaining self ;)

Day 123 | The Day When You Feel Like a Super Star

Day 120 | It's a Beautiful Day

But pity that I have to leave to work instead of reading book basking in the sun or running around in a park Lil Dumpling. ~sigh~

Day 108 | Please Tell Me It's Weekend!

What a testing and tiring week it has been. The days started with long list of things to do and the nights became nightmares with Lil Dumpling suffering in pain! I forgot that I am still suffering from real bad case of chest infection and some how sailed through managing home, work and sick toddler. With everything taking priority, the nasty chest infection slowly left my weak body without my notice! I think it must have missed getting some attention from me ;) At last the weekend is here...well, almost! Hopefully the clouds will clear and the sun will shine!

Day 96 | Back to Reality

Our week long holiday has come to an end and for once I am glad to get back home! After Lil Dumpling, it was my turn to fall sick and poor hubby and our friends were home bound looking after us! At least we both have recovered from nasty cough n high temp and can't wait to get back home and routine!

Day 86 | Holi Hai...

Holi Hai... Today is Holi, spring festival, in India. It has been 8 years since I celebrated this festival of colours with my loved ones. Instead of throwing cheery colours of rainbow, we threw silver snow balls at each other in our tiny back garden with a gorgrous backdrop of setting sun bringing colours to our life.

Day 84 | Aftermath

of non stop snowing on weekend! DH almost lost control of car which refused to come under control and slid down on the slope near Lil Dumpling's daycare! But all's well that ends well and we all are still in one piece! The snow is slowly melting and hopefully the roads will become safe for travel in a day or two day's time!!! But the weather forecast says we can expect more snow tomorrow! Seriously, snow has lost its magic by now!

Day 79 | Darkness

Right now my mood matches the dark skies above me! I am soooo angry with someone and if by any chance I am to come face yo face with that guy, I will not think twice to say what I think of him in very colourful language! Oh we live in this world where some feel they can just get away doing what they like even when it is unethical!!!

Day 59 | I Believe I Can Fly!

There is some major building works happening in my work place and I am in awe of these builders who work non-stop from morning to evening in this cold winter braving cold showers, heavy downpours, snow, sleet, wind n all! May be it's time I stopped complaining about my workload!!!

Day 57 | Dark and Gloomy Day

Just like my mood today! The photo reflects my state of mind as today we left Lil Dumpling at daycare after spending one full week at home; laughing, cuddling, running around, snuggling, tickling, hugging, bugging and just being merry! Oh, how I miss him...

Day 56 | Pink for Boys

Blue for girls! Pink and blue for both boys and girls! Why not?!

I will be the last person to fall into marketing ploy when it comes to colour gender norms! Is pink is a symbol of feminism and blue being masculine colour? Do girls inherently prefer pink and boys inherently prefer blue? I seriously doubt it. Pink and purples are such a lovely colour and why should it only be associated with and loved by girls?! With my love for everything blue as in blue skies, and blue water, I will feel equally cheated if it was strictly associated with everything boys! When we talk about men and women equality and rights, why do we still continue to associate blue colour for boys and pink for girls?! May be our next generation will stop being preys to this mass marketing perspective!
